Our Programs

At North Shore Preschool and Child Care, each classroom is designed to support children at the stage they are currently in while helping prepare them for the next step in their development. Our programs focus on building confidence, curiosity, social skills, and a love of learning through play-based experiences.

Our Infant classroom provides a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, loved, and supported during their earliest stages of development.

Teachers work closely with families to follow each child’s individual feeding and sleep schedule while supporting important developmental milestones.

Classroom Goals

• Support early motor development such as rolling, sitting, and crawling
• Encourage sensory exploration through music, textures, and play
• Build strong relationships between caregivers and children
• Foster early communication through talking, singing, and reading

Our goal is to help babies feel secure while beginning to explore the world around them.

The Toddler classroom is full of movement, discovery, and growing independence. Children at this age are learning to walk, communicate their needs, and explore their environment.

Teachers guide toddlers through structured routines while encouraging curiosity and confidence.

• Strengthen walking, climbing, and motor development
• Expand early vocabulary and communication
• Introduce simple classroom routines and transitions

Our Twos classroom focuses on supporting independence, social development, and early learning skills through hands-on experiences.

Children at this age are naturally curious and eager to explore. Teachers guide them through structured activities while still allowing plenty of time for imaginative play.

• Build independence and self-help skills
• Expand language and communication
• Practice sharing, cooperation, and social skills
• Introduce early learning concepts such as colors, shapes, and counting
• Begin potty training when developmentally appropriate

This classroom helps children develop confidence and prepares them for a more structured preschool environment.

Our Preschool classroom introduces foundational academic skills while continuing to emphasize learning through play and exploration.

Children participate in group activities that encourage creativity, problem solving, and early academic development.

• Recognize letters and early letter sounds
• Practice early writing and name recognition
• Introduce early math concepts such as counting and patterns
• Develop social skills and emotional regulation
• Build confidence in group learning environments

This program helps children grow into independent learners while preparing them for their K4 experience.

Learn More About Our K4 Cooperative Program

Our K4 program operates in partnership with the local school district to provide children with both a preschool and public school experience.

Children spend half of their day at North Shore Preschool and Child Care and half of their day at the school district, allowing them to experience the structure of kindergarten while still benefiting from the nurturing environment and extended care our center provides.

Schools We Serve

Transportation is provided to and from the following schools:

Glendale Location: Parkway Elementary

East Location: Donges Bay Elementary

West Location: Wilson Elementary

Families from other school districts are also welcome to participate in our K4 program, provided parents arrange transportation to and from the center and their child’s school.

• Strengthen early literacy and math skills
• Encourage independence and responsibility
• Build confidence in a school setting
• Support social development with peers

This cooperative model helps create a smooth and supportive transition into elementary school while maintaining the play-based learning environment that children thrive in.

Our School Age program provides a safe and engaging environment for elementary and middle school students before and after the school day as well as fulltime during school breaks and summer.

Students participate in activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while giving them time to relax and socialize with friends.
